Pickled Cheese Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 Packets cottage cheese
- 2 Capsicum (finely cut)
- 4 Fresh red chilies (whole)
- 1/2 Bunch Fresh coriander (finely cut)
Ingredients For Gravy:
- 1 tbsp Ginger/Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Red chili powder
- 2 tbsp Tomato puree
- 1 tsp Dry Fenugreek leaves
- 1 tsp Hot spices powder
- 1/2 tsp crushed red chilies
- 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Onion seeds
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp Tamarind pulp
- A few curry leaves
Method For Pickled Cheese:
Heat oil in a wok. Add Ginger/Garlic paste, Tomato puree, Onion seeds, Mustard seeds, Tamarind pulp, Dry Fenugreek leaves, curry leaves and fry. Add all other ingredients e.g. Red chili powder, Hot spices powder, crushed red chilies, crushed black pepper and Salt.
Fry cheese, capsicums and whole red chilies lightly in a pan and mix in the gravy. Serve pickled cheese garnished with finely cut fresh coriander.
